My heart was pounding as I read about what happened at the sand dunes, and tears welled up reading your heartfelt writing. I read it slowly as I wanted to absorb every word and take in the meaning. Thank you for sharing your experience. We all know what happened, but this is the first time, at least for me, that I’ve read about it in such a personal and human way. Many of us initially signed up for your investing wisdom, only to learn far more about life itself through your writing. Thank you, truly, for sharing your story and your insights !
Charles, words can't describe not only how lucky you are, but how lucky we are to still have you around. I can't imagine the physical pain you've had to endure and still have to, and yet you still endeavor to help each and every one of us day after day. Your positive attitude and zest for life are infectious, and you may never know how many you touched with your story, but I imagine it's in the hundreds, if not thousands. Modern medicine is advancing at a breakneck pace, and we can only hope that one day you will walk again. Only a positive outlook like yours can imagine that day happening in your lifetime.
On behalf of so many who know you mostly through your writings, we owe you a debt of gratitude for fighting so hard to get to this point, and I'm sure most of us think of you and your plight before we complain about some minor annoyance in our lives.
